Alaska Oil Policy| Testifying Monday before House and Senate Resources

I have been  invited to testify Monday before the Senate and House Resources Committees on the Governor's proposed oil tax bill (SB 21/HB 72).  My testimony will evaluate the proposed bill using the five criteria I outlined and explained on these pages late last year.  "Five things to look for in oil tax reform ..." (Nov. 23, 2012).  As the readers of these pages will anticipate, I have some thoughts on the extent to which the bill meets the criteria.

Both hearings will be available on the web at http://akl.tv/ at the appointed time.  The House Resources Committee hearing is gaveled in at 1:00 pm Alaska; Senate Resources meets at 3:30 pm.  The presentations used during each hearing will be available at the appointed time at the websites for the hearings.

We'll see how this goes.
